Commissioning Artwork |
It is never easy to make a decision on who will do your walls, portraits or murals. Just relax and let me help you. COMMISSION A PORTRAIT, MURAL, FAUX FINISH
Commissioning a Mural can be a frightening experience, for both the artist and the client. Seriously, though this should be an enjoyable collaboration for the client and the artist. Before the first meeting I suggest that you gather pictures, postcards, color ideas or pictures similar to what you had in mind. I try to realize your vision, from there I can give you a general estimate, depending on the project. If you decide you would like me to be your artist, I request an initial retainer fee that covers my time for the rendering of sketches and additional meetings. Every situation is different. So do not be shy about asking questions or make suggestions. I would be more than happy to talk to you about your project. Murals can be painted on canvas. Pricing is subjective, depending on size and details, specific quotes will be made upon request. After incorporating your ideas a colored mark up board will be sent to you for approval. You review the board and make changes if needed, signing and returning the board. The project will begin after a initial payment is received. I will send you photos when it nears completion. Changes can be made at that time but might require additional fees. When the mural is complete and your final payment has been received your mural will be shipped. Once you receive the mural you can hang it yourself or get a professional paper hanger (suggested). I always leave about four inches around canvas for easy placement.
Yes I know, this finish is a little over the top but it sure is pretty. When wanting to do a Decorative Finish on your walls. I ask that the same steps be taken as in commissioning a mural. Gather up pictures, magazines, favorite colors, fabric swatches and the process can begin! At your initial consultation I will show you several wall samples and examples from my portfolio of work. Every project is different. The price is determined by many variables, room size, layers of application, intricate details, stenciling, handpainting, and the type of product that is used.
